Bennett M. Porche Sr. is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Valuation analyst in the state of Louisiana. He received his bachelors degree in Accounting from Nicholls State University in December 1987. He passed the CPA exam in December 1988.

He worked for McDermott International as a joint venture accountant from 1988-1989. He also worked for a local Houma CPA firm from 1989-1990 as a tax accountant. From 1990 to 1991 he worked as an Assistant Controller for Washington Furniture in Houlka, Mississippi. From 1991-1996 he was the Controller for Caraway Furniture in High Point, North Carolina. In 1996, he came back to Houma working for Methods Computers of Baton Rouge as a computer consultant. From 1997-2004 he worked as a full-time controller for Cajun Cutters LLC. From 2004 to present he has been the owner of Bennett Porche CPA Service LLC and part-time controller for Cajun Cutters LLC.
